Arrival at Lisbon Airport - Transfer to HF Fénix Lisboa hotel or similar

Free day in Lisbon (no bus or transfer). Possibility to attend the conference in Lisbon.
06/08/2025 | Sunday | Belém
· After breakfast, visit the Jerónimos Monastery to taste the Belém pastry.
· Lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
· Visit to the Monument to the Discoveries and Belém Tower (from the outside) Dinner at the HF Fénix Lisboa Hotel or similar.

· Walk to Praça do Rossio, where the old Palácio Estaus da Inquisição was located and on foot we will go along Rua Augusta to Praça do Comércio, we will visit Rua d´Alfama and the Judiaria.
· At 12pm visit to the Lisbon Synagogue
· Lunch at a local restaurant (not included)
· At 3pm Visit Torre do Tombo.
· Dinner at the HF Fénix Lisboa Hotel or similar
06/10/2025 | Tuesday | COIMBRA - Porto
· After breakfast. Departure to the student city: COIMBRA. With one of the
oldest universities in Europe. Coimbra has stood out as a center of culture and knowledge over the last seven centuries.
· Free lunch in the historic center.
· At 13:15 departure for the visit to the Joanina University and Library, where we will have a general perspective of the education system in Portugal, as well as an insightful approach to the influence that the Jewish population had on the Portuguese educational system.
· Visit of the Courtyard of the Holy Office.
· We will continue to Porto.
· Visits to the Porto Calém wine cellars.
· Dinner and accommodation Hotel By Marriot or similar in Porto

· After a small breakfast at 10:30, 6 Bridges Cruise – 50 Minutes.
Then take the bus along the Douro to Quinta da Avessada in the Douro,
· with a visit, wine tasting and lunch (cost €45 per person not included).
· Return to Porto in the late afternoon.

· After breakfast guided tour of Porto's Jewish quarterLunch in Porto (not included) Departure to Trancoso to visit the medieval Jewry and the Isaac Cardoso Cultural Center.

· EThis small Jewish community is the most active Jewish center in Portugal and still preserves some of the ancient traditions that allowed them to
practice the Jewish religion in secret.
· At 10:30 visit with a local guide to the Jewish Museum and the current synagogue.
· Free lunch
· At 2pm, visit to the Discovery Museum.
· Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Luna in Serra da Estrela or similar
06/14/2025 | Saturday | CASTELO DE VIDE, MARVÃO
· Leaving Belmonte we will head to CASTELO DE VIDE. Located at the top
of São Mamede Mountain, Castelo de Vide still preserves the old Castle,
the Jewish Quarter and one of the oldest and most important synagogues
in Portugal.
· Guide Mr. Carolino Tapadejo - Specialist and local authority.
· Visit to the ancient synagogue and the House of the Inquisition.
· Lunch: Dom Pedro V (cod) Just a few minutes from Castelo de Vide, we will visit the bridge on the border with Spain where thousands of expelled Jews passed in 1492.
· Accommodation and dinner at the Hotel Monte Filipe Hotel & Spa or similar
06/15/2024 | Sunday | departure to TOMAR/LISBOA
· In Tomar we will visit one of the most important synagogues in Portugal.
· At 10 am visit to the Abraão Zacuto Jewish Museum which will allow you to understand the importance of the Jewish population in the city.
· Lunch at a local restaurant.
· After lunch we will return to Lisbon.
· Afternoon free.
· Accommodation and dinner at the Hotel Turim or similar

• At the scheduled time, transfer to Lisbon airport, flight back to Dallas
